A slow jam compilation that, while very good, fails to distinguish itself from similar titles; with only 12 songs, it's the track length of a '60s vinyl LP; yeah, the tunes are longer, but they could have slapped a few more on. Time Life didn't chance turning off frontrunners with obscure tunes; most can lip-synch the words to these songs, with Tamiko Jones' "Touch Me Baby" and Johnnie Taylor's "Your Love Is Rated X" possible exceptions.
